Quinn FINALLY loses his first tooth!!

Halloween...Quinn is a Hot Wheels Driver, Hunter is Batman for his school party and Indiana Jones for Trick or Treating...and Caden is a fat little Superman. Caden was a little scared about going up to the strange man at the first house until he threw a handful of candy in his bag. He stared at him in disbelief, and then proceeded to run as fast as his little legs could carry him to all the houses for two full blocks. He put on a lot of miles!!

Quinn earns his yellow belt and has an opportunity to do some sparring!!

Hunter joins Tae Kwon Do and earns his orange belt.

Caden had discovered "choo-choo's"...our first boy who is all over Thomas the train!!

Quinn starts hockey...whoo hoo!!

Saturday, October 25, 2008

A special hello to our friend Kat in Seattle from her newest fan....Caden the smang-monster...
...and yes that is a piece of banana in his hair...though he claims it's a hat!

My hockey team in training!!

Caden's first shiner!!! Luckily if was on daddy's watch...not mine!!

Quinn, Hunter and Caden meet my long time friend from Australia, and her two boys Connor and Frazier. With only a few days spent together, the boys came to idolize Connor and Frazier and asked about them continually!! We miss you guys!!

Saturday morning at the Sikorski Residence...

Super baby!!

Caden discovers the hidden powers of having a blanket tied around his neck...he now insists upon it every morning!!

Hunter decided to follow Quinn's lead and join Tae Kwon Do this year. He was so excited to finally be doing TKD, although I think he prefers the "idea" of it more than the reality...but his focus improves everyday so I have my fingers crossed.

Quinn was allowed to join the black belt club this fall, as he proved his dedication over the last year. Black belt club introduces sparring and weapons...this is a little disconcerting in a house full of boys...how exactly will the trickle-down effect work with this???

Fort McMurray

Shannon decided to take the big boys to Ft.McMurray along with his parents to the Suncor Family Day so they could see where daddy works two days a week. They had the opportunity to check out all the big trucks and even sat in the drivers seat. They also had to do a fire guy challenge where they had to dress up as little firefighters and haul a stuffed person over their shoulders across one line, then run back and use a hose to put out fires in a little fabricated building!! They had a fantastic time!!

Caden and the paint

So, I have a free moment and I decide to intoduce Caden to paints!! I put his smock on, loaded a plate with a few colors and gave him a big piece of white paper to use to discover his hidden creative talents. I loaded the paintbrush up with some nice purple paint followed by a quick demo of how to use the brush...and voila...

Caden looked at the brush, looked at the paper...then proceeded to stuff the brush into his mouth!!

Didn't see that one coming...we had a purple drool problem for awhile and then I decided perhaps we should work on washable markers instead.

Preschool

Hunter was raring to start another year of french preschool, and couldn't wait to get started. When we arrived it was like we had never left...he walked straight up to Madame Maria, said bonjour and walked on in the class without looking back!!
