Quinn completed his test for his next level of belt at Tae Kwon Do.

Suncor Christmas Party

Nice afternoon out with balloon animals, presents and a quick visit with santa...Caden only agreed to go anywhere near santa if he was going to get a candy cane out of the deal. He went over had his picture taken, got his candy cane which he then proceeded to drop and watch it smash into a zillion pieces...daddy made a quick dash back to santa to plead for another one for his stricken 2 year old...daddy saves Christmas!!

My cookie stealer

Caden has figured out how to raid the pantry...

Playing in the snow

Well, it looks like a repeat of last year with the tonnes of snow that fell again in Calgary...nothing to do but play in it I guess!!

Butterfield Acres

We decided to take the boys to this petting farm called Butterfield Acres as they are all animal lovers. Caden was thrilled to visit the sheep, goats, donkeys, horses and all other large animals...he even had his first pony ride...but you get him anywhere near the terrifying small animal world of rabbits, squirrels and whatnot, and you have a panic-stricken toddler on your hands. It is truly bizarre.

Penticton

We made our way down to Penticton for a little holiday away from rainy Calgary...it was no less than 38C-42C everyday!!! Wow, was it hot. We had to alternate between the air-conditioned trailer and staying in the lake to stay cool. Here is Caden hanging with his little buddy Rowan by the lake and the boys staying cool at the trailer. When we left Penticton this year it was 41C and we came home to a balmy 10C in Calgary...needless it was a wee bit of an adjustment!

The big boys and daddy decided to float down the channel this year...Shannon managed to make it down a hour and a half of floating and still have two boys at the end of the day!!

We even managed to endure a choking hot day on the Kettle Valley Railway as Caden loves trains.

Hunter's 5th Birthday

To celebrate Hunter's 5th Birthday, we decided the boys could each take a friend to Shaker's Fun Zone. There was go-carts, mini-golf and laser tag...it was a blast. The go-carts were hilarious, watching a bunch of 5 and 6 year olds try to take each other out on the track is always entertaining. The highlight of the day was when Hunter's hairnet kept falling down over his eyes while he was driving, so instead of pushing it up out of the way like the other kids, he pulled his down over his face and just continued on driving like it wasn't even there...what a kid!!
